In May/June of 2011, Crystal and I returned to El Salvador to shoot some footage of El Salvador in Stereoscopic 3D.  We did this to show our crew in Vancouver exactly what El Salvador looks like so they can get an idea of the challenges we need to tackle to film “Through the Eye of the Needle”. Youtube now allows Stereoscopic 3D videos to be posted on their website so I uploaded “Defending Maldito” in S3D.  You can watch it on an S3D TV attached to the computer, or using NVIDIA’s 3D Vision System.  There is also an option to watch it using anaglyph glasses for those who want to watch it in 3D on a regular computer monitor.

So I finally got around to updating the website. Now, the Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Blog are all connected. This will make it easier to keep you all updated on what is going on in CNC land.

Right now, as many of you know, we’re mainly working on our feature film “Through the Eye of the Needle”. Lots of cool stuff happening on that front. Script is being polished (I know, I know… It will be ready soon, I promise.), trips are being planned, and connections are being made. Although it is true that we have been writing for four years, Crystal & I have been hard at work doing alot of pre-production while we’ve been writing. If there’s one thing I’ve learnt when it comes to filmmaking, no one is going to make the film for you, you have to get out there and figure it out for yourself and be greateful for the many amazing people that come and give you a hand when you’re out there knee deep in mud (You all know who you are… Love you all. Couldn’t do any of this without you.)

Speaking of being grateful, I am really grateful that our first feature film “Project Grey” http://www.projectgrey.com, now known as “Alien Agenda : Project Grey” in the USA, will be screening at the 2011 Shockerfest film festival on October 2nd in California: http://www.shockerfest.com/

This will be our 4th film festival screening since we re-cut it in 2010. It’s a cool little film, and we still tell stories of how much of a miracle it was for the film to even get made the way it did… No money, no script, we were all newbies… For all the headaches & heartaches it caused, I really think it was worth it. Everyone did a great job, and we all learnt a hell of a lot. Most of us are all still working in the film industry, and it makes me happy everytime I see the people we worked with doing well.
